Beaches. Beaches. Beaches. On a trip to Anna Maria Island, you’ll definitely be going to the beach.
There’s a couple less-known spots on the island that let you get away from the crowds. Today, we’re going to tell you about Bean Point Beach, a hidden oasis up the island from Hurricane Hanks. It’s a great place to take a gourmet picnic lunch, and an even better place to head up to to spend the afternoon after dining in the restaurant with us.
Bean Point Beach is just past Anna Maria City and gives you a beach where you can get immersed in the unspoiled beauty and tranquility of this quiet stretch of the island’s coastline.
This beach currently has minimal tourist traffic, which also means that wildlife is abundant. You may see dolphins in the surf and various shore bird species along with crystal-clear turquoise waters, a gentle sea breeze, powdery white sand, and native shells and plants.
What to Bring to Bean Point Beach
You can drive up to Bean Point Beach. Parking directly at the beach is minimal, so you’ll want to look for street parking. The best spots to check are Fern Street, Gladiolus Street and Jacaranda Road (by the footbridge entrance).
There’s not much at this beach in the way of amenities. You’ll want to pick a picnic lunch with you, or stop by Hurricane Hanks for an early afternoon meal before heading up to Bean Point. If you’re taking a picnic lunch, all of our lunch menu and dinner menu are available by carryout.
